2 Day Uganda Gorilla safari in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This 2-day Uganda Gorilla safari, will take you for Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga National Park, which is nestled in the Virunga Mountains. It covers an area of 33.9 square Kilometers and home to the Nyakagezi Gorilla family. The geographical features of Mgahinga National National Park which include bamboo forest, and cloud covered slopes, offer one of the best Gorilla trekking experiences. Besides the Mountain Gorillas, Golden monkey is the other key attraction in Mgahinga. Mgahinga National park is the only destination we have in Uganda with the engangered golden monkeys. Other unique features include Mount Sabinyo and Mount Muhavura, situtated in the Virunga ranges. Mgahinga National Park has got Lake Mutanda and the Batwa people who give a great adventure through culture.
Gorilla trekking takes around 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the Mountain Gorillas. This trip will also feature a visit to the school for children with special Needs (Deaf and Blind children)

Day 1: Travel to Mgahinga National Park and School Visit
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga and Transfer back to Kigali
Day 1: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
You will be picked up by our guide from the Kigali International airport/your hotel in Kigali after an early morning breakfast at 07:00hrs. The driver guide will brief you about the whole safari before you travel to Mgahinga National Park which is located in the south western part of Uganda, in Kisoro District. On arrival at your, you will check in at the Lodge and have Lunch.
After Lunch, you will go for a 2 hour visit to Kisoro Demonstration School to have some time with the children who are deaf and blind. You will interact with them then later drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and transfer back to Kigali
In the morning, the driver will pick you from the Hotel, to the park headquarters. You will need to carry some snacks, cameras, water, rain jackets, and other gears which you may need on this trek. You will assemble for briefing from the rangers then head out for the great adventure and experience! The time taken to encounter these peaceful primates depends on the movement of the gorillas. Once you find them, you will be allowed to stay with the gorillas for one hour. After the adventure, you will walk back to meet your driver to take you for lunch and drive back to Kigali which marks the end of your Safari.
